Bacon and Cream Cheese Appetizer Recipe

When it comes to appetizers, I have this ongoing love with cream cheesy recipes. Seriously, though – if I’m going to be making multiple appetizers, you can bet that at least one, if not all, of the recipes I choose are filled with cream cheese.

Maybe that’s why I love this Bacon and Cream Cheese Appetizer recipe so much. Cream cheese and bacon, all wrapped up in a crescent roll. Definitely my idea of heaven.

These little two-bite appetizers are perfect for sharing and perfect for parties. You can bet that these will be a crowd favorite!

Ingredients

Here is what you need to make this easy appetizer recipe:

  • Cream Cheese – make sure it is at room temperature
  • Bacon – cooked and crumbled
  • Parmesan Cheese – I think this is best when you freshly grate it
  • Onion – finely chopped so that it blends into the filling
  • Parsley – fresh is best!
  • Milk – I use 2% because that is what I always have on hand
  • Crescent Rolls – If you can find the ones that come as a sheet instead of with the perforations, it it a little easier. But you can just press the perforations together, as well!
  • Butter – I use unsalted, but salted would be fine, too
  • Poppy Seeds – You don’t have to add the poppy seeds but I love the color and texture they bring.

Tips and Tricks

This Crescent Roll Recipe is super easy to make!

  • Like I mentioned above, these are easiest with the crescent roll sheets, but I usually just use the regular crescent rolls because that is what I can find.
  • You can make these bigger or smaller, but I love their 2 bite size.
  • To roll them, start at the pointy end. When you get to the end of rolling, take the 2 ends that are sticking out and press them into the center.
  • You can serve these warm or at room temperature.

Wanting to make these because they look & sound so yummy I can hardly wait to try them. Can I make any of this 2 -3 days early? Can these be frozen? Pre made & frozen? Baked, cooled & then frozen?
